100 word challenge -Padraic

My biggest adventure. I was going to the ploughing championship’s when we got up there it was so sunny we walked around for a bit and saw different thing’s. When we got to the tent it was okay.  Then it began and lot’s of people came into our tent they asked us question’s about the website  the question’s were hard the day was great and at the end of the day we got to walk around and see different thing’s we got our diner and went home. We went in the car, out the gate and drove home exhausted but happy.

The Launch!

Last night Padraic and Aoibheann launched their website. It was great to see so many people attending the school on their big occasion. It was also wonderful to share with them the ideas behind and plans for the website in the future. Thank you to one and all who attended in particular IFA representatives Maura Canning and John Lynskey, TD John O Mahoney and Cllr Patsy O Brien.

We were very lucky to feature on the news last night on both TG4 and UTV Ireland Live. We had a great day filming with both crews and really enjoyed the experience. The camera men and presenters were very nice to us all and really put the nerves at ease! Have a look at us on the player functions of both chanels.

One day Grandad Pete was telling Mary a story.”Now listen”he said”story time begins”         ”Old Minnie next door had a horrible walk one day with your nanny, as they turned the corner a car suddenly drove over your nan, Minnie ran over and dialled 999 and the ambulance came and took your nan to the hospital” Later they told Minnie she was dead and the funural would be tomorrow at 6pm. It was really sad because your nan was the towns best cook. ”It was awful” he said.

100 word challange week #26 – Padraic

As they turned the corner there was a big truck coming. It was amazing but suddenly bang bang   there was murder’s in the back .  I ran as fast as I could to save them and put the murder’s into jail.  I got in my car and went  after them. They were tough to follow and catch but they stopped and got out of the truck. They had  guns. They came over to my car and said to get out of it.  I didn’t know what to do. So I dialled 999.The gaurds came and they took them away.

This week is World Book Week and what a week we have planned. There will be lots of reading and lots of fun invovled!!! Here is what we have set!!!

Monday – “Shelfie” – today we are taking Shelfies – a photo of our book shelves. We started at school where we took photos of 1st, 3rd and 5th and 6th class book shelves. We tweeted them to our good friend @SummerBuzz who just loves reading and she had to guess who owned which shelf!!! It was great fun! Tonight we are all taking our bookshelves at home and tomorrow we are going to see who can match everyone to their bookshelves.

Tuesday – Extreme Reading Competition – today we will be talking about our most extreme reading adventures – where was the strangest place you ever read? Tonight we are challenging our parents to take a photo of us in the most extreme place to read at home!!!

Wednesday – Book Box – Today we have a challenge to complete – we have to make a book box – in a shoe box or a cereal box! In it we must create a scene to give clues to reveal the title of a book!!!

Thursday – Character Breakfast – Today at 9am we are coming to school for breakfast dressed as our favourite book character!

Friday – Bedtime Stories – Today we come to school in our PJ’s  with our favourite bedtime books! Then at 6.30pm we come back to school in our PJS with a pillow and our favourite teddies.
